1.Nature of the service
courrier is a marketplace that CONNECTS senders (stores and individuals) with independent couriers (individuals or companies) for domestic deliveries in Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay.
courrier is NOT a carrier and does NOT perform deliveries. Responsibility for the delivery lies with the courier. The store/sender is responsible only until handing the package to the courier (pickup); once the buyer authorizes pickup, the store has no further tie to the delivery.
2.Eligibility and verification (KYC)
To be a courier you must have an account with completed identity verification (KYC) — ID document and selfie. You can operate as an individual or a company. Buyers do not undergo KYC.
You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and for all activity on your account.
3.How delivery works
- The store or sender posts the delivery; the system assigns a rated courier.
- Buyer and courier agree on the freight and address in an encrypted chat.
- The buyer pays the freight, which goes into escrow, and authorizes pickup.
- The courier picks up, transports, and delivers, recording evidence (photo, GPS, OTP).
- On confirmation of receipt, the freight is released to the courier.
4.Freight escrow and fees
Only the FREIGHT fee flows through a non-custodial escrow. It is released to the courier when the buyer confirms receipt, automatically after 7 days, or by administrative decision in a dispute. The merchandise is settled out-of-band, off the platform.
courrier's commission is 10% of the freight and applies only to the freight. Nothing is charged to the store. Payments via PIX/DePix are launching.
5.Disputes and refunds
While a dispute is open, the freight amount stays protected in escrow. Disputes are decided on objective evidence (photo, GPS, OTP) — never by reading the chat, which is end-to-end encrypted.
If the evidence does not confirm delivery, the freight may be refunded to the buyer. If it does, the freight is released to the courier.
6.Prohibited uses
You may not use courrier for:
- Illegal deliveries or items prohibited by law.
- Informal cross-border deliveries — operation is DOMESTIC: origin and destination in the same country.
- Fraud, identity falsification, or use of third-party documents.
- Any activity that violates applicable law.
7.Ratings
Buyers, stores, and couriers can rate one another. Ratings help maintain quality and influence ride assignment. Manipulating ratings is prohibited.
8.Limitation of liability
courrier only connects the parties and provides the infrastructure (assignment, freight escrow, chat, and tracking). Responsibility for the delivery — including loss, delay, or damage — lies with the courier. courrier is not liable for harm arising from the direct relationship between the parties, except within the limits of the law.
9.Account suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, pose fraud risk, fail identity verification, or breach applicable law.
10.Governing law
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Operation is domestic in each country (Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay), with the relevant local law applying in each case.
11.Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform's channels. Continued use after the update means you agree to the new version.
