courrier is a marketplace that CONNECTS senders (stores and individuals) with independent couriers (individuals or companies) for DOMESTIC deliveries in Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay.

courrier is not a carrier and does not perform deliveries. This policy describes how we handle personal data in operating the platform, in line with applicable data protection law in each country (in Brazil, Law 13.709/2018 — LGPD).

We collect only what we need to run the marketplace securely:

  • Account data: name, email, phone, and country/state of operation.
  • Courier KYC documents: identity documents and a selfie, used to verify the identity of the person delivering. Buyers do not undergo KYC.
  • Addresses: pickup and delivery addresses tied to each order.
  • Transaction data: freight amounts, order status, ratings, and dispute records.
  • Objective delivery evidence: pickup photo, location (GPS), and confirmation code (OTP).

The negotiation between buyer and courier happens in an end-to-end encrypted chat. courrier's server cannot read the contents of these messages.

That is why disputes are never decided by reading the chat: they are resolved using objective evidence (photo, GPS, and OTP).

The exact delivery address never appears in a public listing of rides. It is revealed only to the courier assigned to the order, inside the chat, after the freight payment goes into escrow.

  • Operate the marketplace: create orders, assign couriers, and process status.
  • Verify courier identity (KYC) and keep the base trustworthy.
  • Process the non-custodial freight escrow and release payment.
  • Resolve disputes using objective evidence.
  • Prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.

courrier does not sell personal data. We share data only with the assigned courier (as needed to perform pickup and delivery), with service providers operating under contract (for example, infrastructure and payments), and with authorities when required by law.

At any time, you can:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Correct incomplete or outdated data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention periods.
  • Request anonymization of data where applicable.

We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose that justified it and to meet legal obligations. After that, data is deleted or anonymized so it can no longer identify you.

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect data, including end-to-end encryption in chat and non-custodial freight escrow. No system is 100% immune, but we work continuously to reduce risk.

Privacy questions or requests about your data can be sent to contato@courrier.app. We will respond within the time frames set by applicable law.

We may update this policy. When a change is significant, we will notify you through the platform's channels. The last-updated date at the top indicates the current version.
